Sarah Holden, formally trained with a fine arts degree from College of Saint Benedict and at Brooks Institute of Photography, has built her 10-year career on two convictions:
1. Formal portraits shot on location can be as beautiful as elaborate, studio-lit images if the photographer knows light and takes the time to use available light skillfully.
2. Candid, unscripted moments can provide images as powerful and as beautiful as those carefully posed if the photographer cares enough about her subjects.
